Agellus Hotels announced £1.5m investment programme

Agellus Hotels, a privately owned hotel and restaurant group, has started a £1.5m investment programme across the recently acquired The Lifeboat Inn and The Chequers Inn, both on the North Norfolk coast.

Agellus Hotels was founded in 2004 with the aim to create an exceptional collection of individual hotels and restaurants. As well as The Lifeboat Inn and The Chequers Inn, Agellus owns three successful properties in Suffolk, including Tuddenham Mill, The Ship Inn at Dunwich and The Westleton Crown. All these hotels are unique with a strong reputation for their personal and friendly service, immaculately designed bedrooms, locally sourced and accomplished food and overall attention to detail.

Having acquired both inns in Thornham on 5th October 2015 Agellus Hotels are now delighted to announce the start of a £1.5m refurbishment programme across both properties. The investment programme will include a complete refurbishment and impressive transformation of all bedrooms and significant improvements to both external and internal dining and recline areas.

Operations Director Rufus Harper has said, “we are looking forward to building on the hotels existing character and reputation and develop offers to delight all our guests. We are confident they will once again be two of the best places on the North Norfolk coast to stay, dine and unwind.”

The work has already started and is expected to be completed by July 2016.
