THE LIFEBOAT INN
The Lifeboat is a classic inn; step through our door and you can feel the history that is soaked into the very timbers of the building. Order a drink at a bar which has served guests for generations, sit by the fireplace which has kept winter’s chill at bay through the ages, and enjoy the same welcoming atmosphere that has existed here for centuries.

We’re set on the very edge of Thornham village, overlooking the fields and beautifully unspoilt expanses of salt marshes. This unique landscape changes throughout the year and is a haven for wildlife. We’re an oasis of calm in an increasingly busy world - visit us and feel the peace and tranquility around you.
We consider ourselves to be very lucky to have such incredible provenance on the doorstep, and our chefs take great delight in producing locally sourced meals, that embrace the regions nautical heritage.
